I am trying to do better with meal planning and preparing. Thanks for this week of meals suggestion. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteAre you trying to do a meatless supper once a week? I notice the beans and cornbread dinner. I am just beginning to implement meatless night for us. Our go-to is rice casserole and crowder peas. Yum!
Rice Casserole: 1 Cup rice, 1 can beef consomme', 1 can water, 1/2 to 1 stick of butter sliced, onion flakes. Put rice, consomme' and water together in small, deep, baking dish, sprinkle onion flakes and place butter slices on top (floating.) Bake 45 minutes on 400 or until rice is done and top is brown.
Thank you for the Rice Casserole recipe. I love that! We are trying to do one, or sometimes two, meatless dinners each week. Over the summer I did "Meatless Mondays". We stuck to that most of the time. Some of our favorites are salad bar, vegetable soup with homemade bread, pinto beans and cornbread, and veggie plates. A big crock-pot of mac and cheese with some green beans and salad makes a good meatless meal too. :)
