Straight Paths

Do you ever feel confused?

Walking around in a fog?

Like a big heavy weight confusion can sort of settle in.  I've recently felt as if a brick wall is right in front of me.  A wall I could touch, so close to my face it's uncomfortable.

I've been asking God how I can cut through this confusion.  I've said again and again, "I can't see through it, or around it, or over it, Lord.  Please help me".

God doesn't ignore us when we pray.  He never gives the cold shoulder or the silent treatment.  He delights in us, his children.  So when we ask Him for help, He is there.

He brought me back to this verse this morning.  Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.

In ALL your ways acknowledge HIM.

He will make your paths straight.

Acknowledge Him when the laundry overwhelms, when the kids ask hard questions, and everything is late.  Acknowledge Him when I struggle to find my way through forgiveness, when I'm in pain, when I'm behind, and when I need help.  Acknowledge Him as I grow, understand, and experience frustration.  Acknowledge Him when things are well with my soul and when they're not.  Acknowledge Him when I take care of our home, teach my children, help my husband, and when life's pull starts to take over.

Acknowledge Him when I bump right into the brick wall and try to keep going.

Finding the straight path is found in acknowledging Him!  Confusion is replaced with trust.  Leaning on Him, not my own understanding.  No wonder there is confusion when we're leaning the wrong way.  The wall will come down little by little as I acknowledge Him.  The fog will lift.  With such sweet grace He will make our paths straight.

  1. I am sorry about the wall. I have experienced this before as well. Know you are loved more profoundly than you can imagine by our Father God and you are doing exactly what you need to do in seeking after and trusting in Him. I am praying for you and with you always, Sis.
