Clean Before Spring - 4x4

There are approximately four weeks until spring.  With that in mind I've divided the house into four main areas and we will clean one area each week.

Here are the four areas as I see them.

Area 1 - Kitchen
Area 2 - Bedrooms
Area 3 - Living Room
Area 4 - Bathrooms

Of course, it goes without saying that each and every home is a little bit different.  It will be up to you to adjust this cleaning plan to fit your particular home.  The plan I have written will work for all homes, big or small, you may just have to tweak it a bit.  

This week we will clean Area 1 - the kitchen.  (The good news is we have already completed a lot of the tasks on this list!)   

Here is your detailed cleaning list.  Remember, the kitchen is the heart of your home!

• Empty refrigerator and clean thoroughly.
• Clean microwave inside and out.
• Clean stove/oven.
• Wash canisters, knick-knacks, etc.
• Straighten drawers and cabinets.  
• Wash inside windows.  
• Scrub down cabinet fronts.
• Clean lights.
• Clean out under sink.
• Throw away old rags.  
• Clean pet dishes. 
• Shake out/wash rugs. 
• Sweep and mop floor.
• De-clutter and clean counter tops.
• Clean curtains.
• Organize and de-clutter pantry.

There are 16 things on this list.  Choose four items to do each day and in four days you will have finished spring cleaning your kitchen.
