DAY ONE - Kielbasa and Sauerkraut, Corn on the Cob, Sweet Tea
This meal is really easy. I put some Kielbasa on the grill, heat my Kraut up in a skillet and boil the corn. Here's my favorite Kraut.
Recently I found fresh corn on the cob for 25 cents and ear. The kids actually enjoy shucking the corn so that's one less thing I have to do.
DAY TWO - Pinto Beans with chopped onion, Cornbread
DAY THREE - Sloppy Joes, Cheesy Potatoes, fresh fruit
DAY FOUR - Ranch Chicken Tacos, corn, chips and salsa
DAY FIVE - Salad Bar
This is one of our family favorites. When it's hot outside and you don't really feel like cooking, make a salad bar! Since our air conditioning hasn't been working we've been doing this a lot. All of our kids love building their own salads, even our three year old, and they have no trouble cleaning their plates!
DAY SIX - Chicken Fettuccine, Peas, Applesauce
DAY SEVEN - Cheesy Enchilada Casserole, Spanish rice
Tonight for dinner we're having grilled chicken, Hashbrown Casserole, broccoli, pasta salad, sliced cucumbers, and yeast rolls. I'm hungry already! I will post the Hashbrown Casserole recipe tomorrow. It's unbelievably good and you will love it!
Love the food ideas, hope you get the air fixed soon. I know how bad it can be. We have two units and the one in our addition has been messed up for some time now. No one is in there all the time so it's bearable. In the winter the little kids called it the "cold room" and they still call it that even though it's nowhere near cold anymore. I'm ready for it to be fixed though. Hope you all are doing good! Missy
