January

Hello All -

I hope you had a most Merry Christmas!  We did.  Our Christmas was different this year, but good.  Praise be to God for His indescribable gift!  I'd rather have Jesus...than anything!

Here's a Christmas picture of our crew -

Now let's talk about January.

A lot of people don't love the month of January, but I do.  I've heard January described as long, cold, and boring, but for me it's fun and exciting.  I love fresh starts, making plans, writing out goals, and considering new schedules.  So, what about you?  How do you feel about January?

There are a lot of changes coming our way in 2015.  Some of the changes we are very excited about, others are going to be difficult - but healthy.  We've been talking them over as a family and praying.

On New Year's Eve we usually eat a yummy meal, write out our New Year's Resolutions, have our Bible time, and those who are able to, stay up until midnight to cheer in the New Year.  What do you like to do with your family on the last night of the year?

I found something neat on Pinterest from While He Was Napping.  I think we just might use it this year (we'll just need to change the date to 2015).

You can find it HERE.

Whatever you do to celebrate the new year I hope it's cozy and wonderful.  May God's peace and grace be greatly multiplied to you in 2015!

  1. I love January too - fresh starts, new beginnings, back to routine. As much as I love holidays and "special times," I love our day to day life around here even more and am glad to get back to it.
I stayed away from the traditional New Year's Resolutions this year, but did decide upon some areas of improvement. I really like the goal sheet you linked to...very cool idea.

And there is one new thing in your family for 2015 that is exciting for our family too! Can't wait.

    Love ya, Sis.

    1. I'm with you...the holidays are fun but I really prefer my structure and schedule. I also like the slightly slower pace of January. Oh, and the soups and stews!

      Love you too, Aaron!!
