A Cozy Little Thank You

It's that time of year, isn't it?  The end of everything time.  We've had our end of the season soccer banquet and our end of the year AWANA awards banquet.  Next week is our end of the semester co-op party and our end of the year guitar recital, and so on and so forth.  Sometimes you want to give a little thank you gift to those who have taught your children and today I have a cute (and useful) one to show you.  It comes from Fun Things Home, a blog I enjoy reading.

Gardener's Hand Scrub

You need only 2 simple ingredients.

1 cup of sugar
1/4 cup Dawn Hand Renewal dishwashing liquid

You can find Dawn Hand Renewal in several different scents (like Pomegranate).  We chose Peach & Almond.  Mmmmm!

Stir the sugar and dishwashing liquid together in a bowl.  We used a little more dishwashing liquid than the recipe calls for just to thin it a bit.

Spoon it into a jar or other pretty container.

Top the jar off with a lid, and some fabric if you'd like.  Sticker labels would be pretty also.

We finished ours off with a little tag on each jar.  Both of my girls were giving these to their teachers so we wanted to put their names on them.

We, of course, made some for ourselves because we loved it.  The scent is so sweet and we like the feeling of the sugar scrub.  I am keeping some right next to my kitchen sink and everyone is enjoying using it - including the five men that live here!  I think it makes a sweet little gift with a summertime feel.  When you're making many gifts for many teachers this is a fun way to go.

Happy End-of-the-Year!  :)
