Goldfish Birthday Party

Our "baby" turned TWO!  Since this little gal is crazy about fishes we celebrated with a Fishy Party.

THE MENU:

Chicken Salad
Goldfish Bread
Croissants
Potato Salad
Goldfish Crackers
Chips
Cake
Soda, Lemonade

The kids made cute little fish to decorate the table.

We used fishbowls to hold the goldfish crackers.

I found these little pails at Target for one dollar and they were perfect for the straws, plastic ware, and a fun fishy game my sister made.  We found cute "fishy" bread at the bakery outlet store.

I made chicken salad and my mother in law brought potato salad from a favorite restaurant in Virginia.

We couldn't have a fishy birthday party without a fishy cake!  I baked a yellow cake and made butter cream frosting.  I used less butter which made the frosting more like a glaze.

Clare's fishy party was a swimming success!

  3. Love it! Great job. I wish I could have been there. You did a great job with all of the decorating, but I especially love that cake!! It is perfect. You will have to explain to me how you made that icing. I have never been able to make a smooth cover like that. Thanks for posting the pics so soon. I have been anxious to see:)

    1. Thank you, Tracey! I miss y'all too. I've been dreaming up plans for that girls' weekend we discussed. Soccer is almost over for us (banquet and senior recognition tonight) and then my schedule will get A LOT easier! I'm looking forward to catching up with you.
